Baby Lemur Gollum: Re-united with Mother

A baby ring-tailed Lemur, 6 weeks premature and found abandoned in the enclosure, has been re-accepted by his mother.

‘Gollum’ weighed only 40g when he was originally found, however 2-hourly feeds and round the clock care by the staff at Blair Drummond Safari Park ensured his survival. The rejected youngster was then placed in an enclosure next to his natal group so they could hear him. After a month and a half, Lucy his mother became more comfortable with him, and now 8 months on he is healthy, happy and fully integrated back into the group.
